The event was organized to implement Plan No. 09-KH/ĐU of the Ward Party Committee and to respond to the nationwide movement “The whole country promotes innovation and digital transformation in Ho Chi Minh City.” It is part of the effort to realize the national strategic goals for science and technology development and digital economy, as outlined in Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo.

The ‘Digital Literacy Campaign’ revives the nation’s spirit of learning in a new context, aiming to ensure that no one is left behind in the comprehensive digital transformation.”

The highlight of the conference was a specialized training session titled “Applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Digital Literacy Campaign” delivered by MSc. Tran Duc Su, Deputy Director of the Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer (CITT), Ton Duc Thang University. The participation of CITT experts reflected Tan Dinh Ward’s strategic vision in connecting with leading academic and research institutions to bring advanced technological knowledge into community life.

Throughout the training, members of the “Digital Literacy Campaign” team and participating delegates were introduced to and guided in using a range of powerful, highly applicable AI tools. These included using ChatGPT for drafting documents and professional emails; Whimsical Diagrams for building mind maps and activity plans visually; Gamma AI for creating impressive presentations within minutes; and leveraging Google’s Gemini and NotebookLM for research, synthesis, and document interaction.

These applications are expected to become valuable assistants for the campaign’s core missions, such as helping citizens install and use the Digital Citizen App, conducting online public services, digitizing records and documents, and implementing cashless payment solutions.

The conference demonstrated an effective model of collaboration between local authorities, mass organizations, and academic-research institutions. By pioneering the launch of the “Digital Literacy Campaign” with the professional support of a reputable technology center like CITT, Tan Dinh Ward is expected to spark a strong wave of digital transformation at the grassroots level, contributing to the successful realization of national goals for a Vietnam driven by science, technology, and innovation-with the digital economy accounting for 30% of GDP by 2030.
