TDTU Makes Its Mark at the Vietnam Student Technology Olympic Week 2025
The Vietnam Student Technology Olympic Week 2025 is a national-scale academic and technological event held annually to provide a professional platform for students passionate about information technology, artificial intelligence, and programming. The program brings together hundreds of teams from universities, colleges, and academies both domestically and internationally, featuring a series of prestigious competitions such as the Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad, the Vietnam Student Artificial Intelligence Olympiad, Procon Vietnam, and the Asia regional ICPC. The event not only assesses students’ professional competencies but also promotes scientific research, innovation, and international integration in the field of technology.
Within the framework of the Vietnam Student Technology Olympic Week 2025, held from December 8 to December 12, 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) continued to make a strong impression with numerous outstanding achievements, affirming the quality of its education and its scientific research capacity in key technological fields.
This year’s event attracted more than 800 students from 87 domestic universities, colleges, and academies, along with 19 international teams. The main competitions included the 34th Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad (OLP’25), the 1st Vietnam Student Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (OlpAI’25), Procon Vietnam, and ICPC Asia Ho Chi Minh City 2025.
At the 1st Vietnam Student Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (OlpAI’25), the team from the Faculty of Information Technology – TDTU excellently won the Second Prize nationwide and ranked among the Top 7 best AI teams in Vietnam out of a total of 59 teams (177 students) competing in the Final Round. This achievement demonstrates TDTU students’ strong expertise in machine learning, computer vision, and natural language processing, as well as the team’s thorough preparation and effective collaboration.

At the same time, at the 34th Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad (OLP’25), notable achievements were recorded. In particular, a second-year student from the Faculty of Information Technology outstandingly won the First Prize in the Specialized Informatics category on their very first participation, demonstrating the remarkable potential of TDTU students as well as the University’s early, in-depth, and systematic training orientation.


The series of achievements at OlpAI’25 and OLP’25 continues to affirm the quality of education, research capacity, and rigorous academic spirit of TDTU students in the fields of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence. These results further reinforce Ton Duc Thang University’s position as one of the leading technology-oriented training institutions in Vietnam, with strong national competitiveness and readiness to integrate with international standards.
