The Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer Meets with the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center

On November 5, 2025, the Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer (CITT) held a meeting with the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center (HCDC) to strengthen collaboration, share experiences, and outline future directions for cooperation.

The Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center is a public institution under the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, playing a core role in driving the city’s comprehensive digital transformation process. The Center is responsible for researching, advising on, and implementing digital transformation solutions and models in state management, digital economy development, digital society, and digital citizenship, with the goal of building Ho Chi Minh City into a smart and modern metropolis.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoa - Deputy Director of HCDC - presented an overview of the Center’s functions and responsibilities. He emphasized that the Center’s future direction will focus on expanding international cooperation, promoting public communication on digital transformation, and strengthening training programs to enhance digital knowledge and skills among officials, businesses, and citizens. These efforts aim to contribute to the development of a dynamic and sustainable digital transformation ecosystem in Ho Chi Minh City.

Representing CITT, Dr. Duong Thi Thuy Van - Director of the Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer - introduced the research capacity, potential, and team of senior experts and qualified faculty members from Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). Dr. Van also shared information about TDTU’s recent science and technology transfer activities, including several cooperation agreements with local authorities, most recently with the Tan Hung Ward People’s Committee on October 28, 2025. The partnership focuses on key areas such as digital transformation in administrative management, public services, and digital community development.

During the meeting, both sides discussed and agreed on several concrete cooperation initiatives for the near future. Highlights include co-organizing training courses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and basic digital transformation for government officials, youth, students, and residents of Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, CITT will collaborate with HCDC in programs aimed at raising public awareness of digital transformation, promoting innovative startups, and developing a high-quality digital workforce for the city.

The meeting opened up practical directions for collaboration between the two centers, sharing a common goal of advancing digital transformation within the community and spreading the spirit of innovation. Both sides expressed their intention to maintain close cooperation and jointly implement practical projects that bring value to citizens and society in the digital era.
